Last night was the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, a red carpet event that designers and celebrities attend while showing off some of the most memorable fashion looks. We noticed some trends amongst our favourite looks; the first being intricate beading on sheer fabric, Beyoncé stunned in a very sheer Givenchy dress with precisely placed colourful beading. Kendall Jenner went a bit more elegant with a high neckline, crystal encrusted jade green Calvin Klein dress.

Another trend we loved was the boldness of wearing bright red on the red carpet, Gigi Hadid (left) wore an embellished Diane Von Furstenburg gown complete with red accessories. Allison Williams (right) wore a custom Giambatista Valli Haute Couture gown with black detailing to offset the red.

With the beautiful weather approaching we are starting to see more and more white, some of our favourite looks included the simplistic colour with some high fashion elements. Amanda Seyfried wore a Givenchy Haute Couture custom gown with beautiful lace and ruffle detailing to accentuate her frame. Diane Kruger wore a Chanel Haute Couture two piece ensemble which just goes to show that you don't always need to wear a dress to be fashion forward.
